Combining a remarkable personal story, a lifelong passion for social justice changes, incomparable insights and an influential presence, Corey Axelrod inspires participants to create change on their behalf—and just as importantly, on others’ behalf.

During his presentations, Corey leverages his professional and personal experiences, including being a member of a multigenerational Deaf family and having a bilingual and bicultural background, to deliver insight and profound impact.

Corey is known for his authenticity and vulnerability – he often shares personal stories, including how he advocated alongside his father for improved communication access in healthcare while his father battled cancer, as well as how he and his wife, Jennifer, navigated the healthcare system during the beginning months of COVID-19 when welcoming their twin boys, Ryder and Jordan. Participants have told Corey, “Thank you for covering what doesn’t usually get covered” and “I have been waiting for this,” a testament to Corey’s effectiveness and style.

His core keynote and workshop topics spotlight critical elements impacting the Deaf and hard of hearing user experience, including communication accessibility, unconscious bias, inclusive organizational design, risk management and Deaf cultural awareness and sensitivity.
